Affiliate Marketing, Start Smart

Spread the love

If you’re reading this it’s probably because you want to find a way to venture out on our own and work for ourselves. Chances are there are a couple of things still holding you back. The fist is most likely money and the second fear of the risk. I would never tell someone to take either of those worries lightly. If you were going to open a brick and mortar business you would need loads of capital. Money to pay bills, buy supplies, pay employees, remodeling, rent, and license. Then there’s the risk factor which is even scarier for most people. At present nearly 90% of all small businesses fail within the first year. 90% and most of the time it has nothing to do with the product or idea, it’s the unknowns. If you’re looking a making the move to Affiliate Marketing, start smart.

Affiliate marketing has the ability to takes almost ALL of the risk away. You can start smart with next to ZERO money. Affiliate marketing can be amazingly lucrative even on a shoestring budget. Now if you were blessed with a natural knack for sales or marketing and happen to be a self-starter who’s prepared to work hard then affiliate marketing might just be the ticket you’ve been hoping for.

Nearly every day, you see advertised courses and seminars on Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest or Instagram claiming to hold the secret of instant wealth. By signing up for one of these courses you’re probably expecting to find all the magic tools you need to get your business started and money coming in. People who are looking for that new start are hungry to get away from their current 9-5 job shell out tons of money looking for that silver bullet that’ll make it happen TODAY.

Courses and seminars more often than not come up short of expectations. First, they are usually pretty darned expensive. Out of the gate you have the fee for the course or seminar. Then you have travel and hotel expenses. Often they’re held in busy tourist destinations which make food, fuel, and lodging even more expensive. Second, the person giving the seminar or course is usually on some kind of a promotional tour. While they do provide some usable information during the training their true goal is to sell you their latest book or software or get you to join their exclusive membership training program. Truth be told, most everything you glean from the seminar was probably written in their book already. You could have saved thousands if you had just bought their book and read it rather than shelling out for this course.

If you have read any of my previous posts you will quickly see that I’m all in favor of learning all you can about your business. However is far more fiscally responsible to learn from books, videos, audio trainings. Remember your are creating a business. Simply taking the time to study a marketing book or video is a better move than drop a fortune on destination training. Taking time to study retail sites like Amazon or EBay will give you tons of titles on affiliate marketing. Places like Warriorplus.com, JVZoo.com, and Clickbank.com have tons of step by step guides available to walk you through the process of building your own successful affiliate marketing business.

One of the better courses I have ever purchase was Passive Income Machines by Paul Nicholls.   Paul does a really good job of explaining how to set up a scale-able recurring income generation ‘machine’.

Another great resource for affiliate marketing is the web. A simple browser search of the term “affiliate marketing” will reveal tons of information. There are plenty of free courses online that you can help you start or answer specific questions. Read through the information available to you for nothing first. Chances are those expensive vacation courses or seminars won’t teach you anymore than what you can learn online for free.

Finally, one of the major advantages of joining an affiliate program is the support that you receive. Any legitimate company will want you to succeed. The more profit you make, the more money they make. They will have a support page and likely a “FB mastermind” group. They should offer a wide array of affiliate promotion tools as well.

If you’re considering Affiliate Marketing as a new business, part-time income, retirement option, whatever start by researching what’s out there for free or fairly inexpensive. Each thing you learn is a piece of the puzzle Track what works and build on it. YOU WILL SUCCEED!

May the Lord bless you and your house hold!!
